Diggy Lloyd

Ever heard of the saying “you are your most difficult client”. Recently, I went through the rebranding process for...myself! For the past few years I have been so focused on “shooting, shooting, shooting” that I haven’t taken a beat to step back and look at my own work and brand. My previous website was working, but it was becoming very crowded, and the gallery viewing experience was sub par. Also, I wanted to send out another round of printed promos with the launch of my new site. Since the beginning of my career, I’ve always heard people say, “ just focus on one genre and that is what you will get hired for”. For me, that approach has never worked as I genuinely LOVE shooting everything - fashion, beauty, still life, kids, events, weddings, beauty, fashion, fitness, models, “real people”...all of it! Each subject requires a unique approach, and I enjoy photographing new genres in my style. However generating portfolios can be difficult as the subject matter and visual elements run the gamut. I spent several months combing through each body of work to create portfolios that felt cohesive while also showing my range. I wanted to look at every image either together or a part of the portfolio’s narrative and say “that is so Diggy”. As for the site experience, I wanted clean, simple navigation with tiled thumbnails and a big, beautiful image to appear when clicked. With the site came a new logo. My first logo I designed for myself was my handwriting. I wanted to get back to this bold and personal feeling, just update it.

Promo Material

After the site came my printed promos. I wanted this round of promos to really break the mold! Not just another postcard or catalog. Don’t get me wrong, I love making those and they can be really beautiful, but I wanted to try something new. Fast forward through a lot of research, and printed home mockups to a stunning promo that unfolds and showcases new imagery with every fold. Resulting in a really cool, new, tactile way I found to tell my story. Lastly, this printed collateral requires no plastic shipping bag or envelope. It is durable and still functions after being mailed! From start to finish, I love the user experience of my new website and promo and hope you do too. If you would to be included on my mailing list - subscribe below.
